Merging PDFs is useful when a document is spread across several files: a cover page, an attachment, and a set of notes, for example. The goal is one new PDF in a deliberate order. Cadava’s Merge PDF tool does this in your browser; it does not upload the selected documents to a processing server.
Check that merging is the right task
Merge combines existing PDF pages. It does not turn photos into pages, recognize scanned text, or change the wording in a document. Use Image to PDF for JPG and PNG files. Use Split PDF if you want to remove or select pages before combining documents.
Keep copies of the originals. If a document is signed, has interactive fields, or relies on bookmarks and attachments, use a PDF application that explicitly supports preserving those features. Rewriting a PDF can affect more than what you see on its pages.
Combine the files in order
- Open Merge PDF and select at least two PDFs.
- Review the filenames in the selected-file list.
- Use the arrows to move entire documents up or down. Pages within each document keep their original order.
- Remove any file you do not want included.
- Select Merge PDFs, wait for processing, then download the result.
For example, putting a two-page cover document before a five-page report produces a seven-page PDF. Moving the report above the cover reverses those document blocks; it does not reverse the report’s individual pages.
Understand the supported files
This tool accepts standard, unencrypted PDFs. Password-protected or damaged files may be rejected. Interactive forms and signed form fields are not supported. Document-level bookmarks, attachments, accessibility tags, and signatures may not survive page copying even if the visible pages look normal.
You can select up to 10 files, with a maximum of 20 MB each and 40 MB total. Each input and the combined result must stay within 300 pages. A phone with limited memory may need a smaller batch. Merging does not promise compression; a smaller download is not the purpose of this tool.
Review the new document
Open the result and check its page count, first and last pages, document boundaries, and any rotated pages. If you need only a section of the result, extract the relevant pages.
