SRT Subtitle Editor
Edit an existing subtitle file, check its structure, and fix a constant timing offset. Everything stays in this browser tab.
Paste or open an SRT file to begin.
No transcription or video preview. Existing subtitle text is edited locally; it is never rendered as HTML.
Fix a constant timing offset.
If every subtitle appears two seconds too early, apply +2. If every subtitle appears two seconds too late, apply -2. Shifts that would create negative times are rejected.
If the delay grows over time, a constant offset will not fix it. Check the video version and frame-rate conversion in a video-aware subtitle editor. Read the timing guide →
Edit, validate, export.
Change text and timestamps directly in the source box. Keep a blank line between cues and use the format 00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:03,000. Downloading normalizes line endings and renumbers cues in their current order; cues are not automatically sorted.
For an Android recording-to-text workflow, explore Scribe. This browser editor does not generate subtitles from audio.
